Viruses - programs that get installed on a computer, usually unknowingly, and spread throughout other files, causing the computer to crash
Phishing - when someone attempts to get someone to click on a virus by disguising it as something legitimate, such as a contest, giveaway, ad, etc.
e-mail - electronic mail that is transferred via the internet. Users can use this to send text and documents quickly to another user anywhere in the world.
social engineering - when someone attempts to manipulate someone into giving personal information they would not normally give out. This usually happens through social media as someone attempts to establish trust over a period of several months
Spoofing - when someone establishes credibility by using the identity of another. This is very common in email, as people send messages from seemingly legitimate sources
Identity theft -when someone gets a hold of your personal information, especially credit cards and bank accounts, and uses this information to steal your money or ruin your reputation.
Spamming - when someone send the same message indiscriminately to a large amount of users, hoping that someone will take the bait.
